Update the Zip Codes in your Address Book!

On July 1, 1998, more than 40 Zip Codes in Eastern Massachusetts were changed. If you live in that area, or have friends, relatives, or business associates who do, your Address Book is now out of date. Similar changes have occured elsewhere in the country. Going through your Address Book manually is a tedious, time-consuming, and error-prone process. Let our new ZipCoder software do the job for you! It comes preloaded with all the Zip Code changes for Eastern Massachusetts, and you can add others yourself later. Then just a single tap on the Update Zips button and the software works its way through your Address Book, changing all the appropriate Zip Codes (and yes, it can handle Zip+4 codes as well). Does ZipCoder handle Zip+4 correctly?
Yes; XXXXX-ZZZZ is properly changed to YYYYY-ZZZZ.

Some towns split their Zip Codes. How does ZipCoder handle this situation?
ZipCoder has no way to know which of the new Zip Codes is the correct one; you'll need to decide based on information from the Post Office (or from the people in your Address Book). As it goes through your Zip Codes to update them, ZipCoder will give you a chance to accept or reject changes. You'll need to reject the incorrect changes and accept the correct one.

Do you have plans to enlarge the database beyond eastern Massachusetts?
As we get information from the Post Office, and as new situations crop up around the country, we will add them to the database as soon as possible. Of course you can add to the database of Zip Code changes yourself as well.
